This guide explains how to waive (comp) a registration fee or other payment for a team or angler in your fishing tournament using Web Pro Tournament Manager. This is useful for sponsors, special circumstances, or promotional offers.

Comping a Payment

How to comp a registration fee or other payment:

1. Click the team or angler you want to comp a payment for in the "Registered Teams" or "Registered Anglers" section on the Tournament Setup page.
2. Click the Receive Payment button to open the Receive Payment window.
3. Make sure all fees you wish to make complimentary are showing in the payment line items list. In the "Payment Type" dropdown, select Complimentary to waive the fee or payment.
4. Optionally, enter a Promo Code (e.g., "SPONSOR2026") in the "Coupon Code" field to note the reason for the comp.
5. Ensure the "Amount to receive ($)" field matches the total amount due, which will be set to zero effectively when processed as complimentary.
6. Enter an email address in the "Send e-mail receipt to" field if you want to notify the participant (leave blank for no receipt, or use commas for multiple emails).
7. Click Process Payment to complete the transaction. The comp'd payment will be recorded.
