Archiving tournaments

What does archiving a tournament do?
Once your tournament is complete, you can archive your tournament to lower its priority in the system and lock both scoring and registration.

Once a tournament is archived:

  • anglers and teams can no longer be registered or edited from within the tournament;
  • catches can no longer be added to the Event Log and leaderboards are frozen;
  • payments can no longer be received or edited from within the tournament;
  • it is removed from current tournament listings and added to the past tournaments listings on your website.

But, you can still:

  • edit components and pages connected to it;
  • duplicate it and make a new copy for your next tournament.

How do I access a tournament once it's archived?
Under Manage Tournaments, click the arrow next to the page title and choose Archived Tournaments from the dropdown list.

How do I archive or un-archive a tournament?
  1. Under Manage Tournaments, just switch to view your archived tournaments.
  2. Click the Actions menu next to the tournament you want to archive or un-archive.
  3. Choose Settings from the dropdown menu.
  4. Edit the Display settings by setting the "Archived" option to Yes or No.

Get in to the habit of archiving finished tournaments
Archiving your tournaments after they're completed gets them out of the spotlight both in the admin area and to the general public visiting your website. It also locks down leaderboards by making sure your scoring and registration doesn't change.
